During the fall, college admissions counselors are hitting the road and spending their days visiting high schools. The purpose of these visits are twofold. First, college admissions counselors have the opportunity to educate students about their schools. Admission counselors share about programs and activities available at their school. This is often an initial point of contact between students and colleges. Secondly, students get to learn first-hand about a college that may or may not be on their radar. This time allows students the chance to meet face-to-face with an admission counselor and ask specific questions. Many times, this is an opportunity for students to make contact with the person who may be evaluating their application in the future.
At Medfield High School, we have over 100 college admission representatives coming to visit this fall! Juniors and seniors can see the list of colleges that will be visiting MHS and sign up to meet with the representatives by following these steps on Naviance:
- Sign in to your Naviance account at: http://connection.naviance.com/medfield
- On the home page, scroll down to the box labeled "What's New"
- You should see a list of colleges that are scheduled to visit MHS. Be sure to click "Show More" to see the complete list.
- To attend the college visit session, click on "More Info" next to the college name.
- Click on "Register" in the top right hand corner to sign up.
These college visits are a great opportunity to learn more about a college and have a chance to get questions answered in a small group setting. We encourage all juniors and seniors to explore the list of colleges coming to MHS and sign up on Naviance today!
